Graduated with a first class, MDes Product Design Degree from Sheffield Hallam University in 2012. During university I worked as a freelance designer and also held a part-time design position at Disruptive Innovation. During my time there I worked closely with clients such as 3M and Unilever. I also had the opportunity to work with multiple start-ups and small businesses, designing and strategising entire brands.
I then chose to specialise in manual kitchen appliances and took a role at theSource UK. During my time at theSource I worked closely with a number of renowned brands such as John Lewis, Lakeland, Taylor’s Eye Witness, Williams Sonoma and Sabatier. This enabled me to get numerous products to market, including a patented design that was launched in Spring 2015.
During my 3 years at theSource I was heavily involved in product design, packaging and visualisation efforts for a range of clients including the companies own housewares brand. In addition to designing early products for the Nosh brand, I was also influential in the brands web presence and graphic design, whilst directing product imagery and advertising. This enabled Nosh to grow from a small experiment to a successful standalone brand.
In 2015 I took the next step in my career and joined DKB Household UK Ltd as part of the in-house design team . My responsibilities as Product Designer include working on all stages of the design and development process for several kitchenware brands such as Cole & Mason, Jamie Oliver and Zyliss.
